Things to do in  Kamshet Paragliding


1.    Paragliding

Kamshet is one of the top destinations in India to experience the feeling of paragliding altogether. With many schools of surfing experience and trainers, Kamshet is a parasailing travel center where you can safely indulge in the sport and make it one of the most resilient experiences of your life.


Kamshet offers paragliding opportunities to all types of people, including paragliding schools for beginners and those who want to learn the sport properly. Nirvana adventures are a very popular group that organizes and runs paragliding programs. There are a number of other recreational activities such as rock climbing and water sports organized here. There are several paragliding areas here that include Shinde Wadi Hills, Kondeshwar Cliff, Tower Hill, and Shelar.


2.    Shinde Wadi Hills

Shinde ward hills are the departure point for paragliding. This area is ideal for paragliding beginners as the height is from 100 meters to just 200 meters from the ground level. Madhavrao Shinde’s soldiers are believed to be ambushing and shooting from the top of the Shinde ward while fighting the British.


3.    Pawna lake

As tourists and tourists flock to Lonavala for early morning and camping, Pawana Lake is somewhat remote, about 20 miles from Lonavala Railway Station. The size of the lake and the surrounding area make a spectacular view as you push yourself like a canvas in your eyes. The camper’s paradise is real, surrounded by high hills and blessed with a beautiful climate all year round that makes it a great place to escape.


Built as a result of the construction of Pawana Dam west of the Pawana River in the Western Ghats, a 0.24km3 hydroelectric dam, serves as the main water source in Pimpri. -Chinchwad (Navi Pune) area. The magnificent area is covered with green carpet and includes historically important castles such as Lohagad Fort, Tikona Fort, Tung Fort, and Visapur Fort. These fortified towers have been built for centuries and are a testament to the strategic importance of the area. The Pawana Lake area in the Western Ghats makes it a natural habitat for plants and animals.


The artificial pond carries a piece of natural art – beautiful sunsets, fresh air, green pastures, and high hills. Its proximity to Mumbai, Lonavala, and especially Pune makes it an ideal weekend getaway for families and individuals who are looking forward to spending their time wisely in a calm and refreshing way. Pawana Lake and its surroundings are beautiful, untouched, and offer excellent opportunities to spend time with nature.


4.    Bedse in caves

Located not far from Kamshet, Bedsa Caves is a group of Buddhist monuments carved out of rock dating from 60 BC. Also known as the Bedse Caves, it is one of the oldest caves in Maharashtra dating back to the Satvahana period.


The caves are known for their magnificent paintings, with four pillars up to 80 feet [25 m] high. A large cave called ‘Chaitya’ has a prayer hall with a beautiful stupa. Another cave is the vihara or monastery. It is best to visit the Bedsa Caves early in the morning as both caves face east.


5.    Kondeshwar Temple

Built of stone, the temple represents the ancient Hemadpanti style of architecture. A rocky outcrop makes it difficult to climb to the temple, so a visit during the rainy season is not advisable. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and other nearby shrines. Shri Khateshwar Maharaj Samadhi, lake, and waterfall are also found on the grounds.


6.    Bhairi Caves

The cave is located on the high rocks of Kamshet and is known for its animal sacrifices that continue here. The cave contains some vessels, and it is believed that anyone attempting to steal them will be punished by the God of Bair and thrown into a nearby valley. The area can be reached by climbing stairs leading to the caves although the journey is difficult, challenging, tricky, and can be dangerous.


7.     Trekking

Another great thing you can do in Kamshet is to use its mountainous terrain to walk to the various mountainous sites in the area. From the steep slopes to the steep slopes, the Kamshet hiking experience is a must-have for your trek here. You can hike in the ancient Tikona Fort or Lohagad Fort, and enjoy the tranquil views of crystal-clear streams like crystals and lush forests. You can also enjoy beautiful views of green valleys, misty hills, and winding roads during your trek to this tropical mountain station.




8.    Shopping

You can also enjoy a relaxing shopping experience here, which is one of the best things you can do at Kamshet. As a small town, Kamshet has many local shops scattered throughout the area, selling local handicrafts, snacks, and other souvenirs that you can bring back home.

From locally made chikki and trinkets to traditional sarees, the variety of Kurtis and Indian clothing, as well as fruits and vegetables grown naturally are some of the best things to buy at Kamshet.


9.    Sightseeing

Sightseeing is one of the main activities of Kamshet, where you can visit many of the most famous and spectacular places in the region. Kamshet is a treasure trove of beautiful places to visit and beautiful buildings to explore. From the pure Bhaje waterfalls to the Pawna and Uksan lakes, or Bhairi, Bedse, and Bhaja Caves, there is no shortage of places to visit in Kamshet. For history lovers, you can visit the ancient Kondeshwar Temple and Visapur Fort, or Panshet Water Park if you wish to enjoy some water sports and activities. You can also enjoy a picnic near Pawna dam on a day full of fun.
